The Maroon Masonry Home – Arbor Essence is a 7,500 sq. ft. residence in Moradabad, India, blending traditional masonry with modern design. Using red bricks, black cladding, and a brick jali wall, it integrates sustainability and biophilic elements. Key features include a skylit double-height lobby, an orange granite staircase, and locally crafted furniture, creating a timeless, nature-inspired living space.
Client Background
A visionary homeowner passionate about sustainable architecture, construction materials, and artistic expressions sought to create a residence that embodies the essence of nature and craftsmanship. The goal was to design a timeless home with a bold yet rooted aesthetic, integrating traditional masonry with contemporary spatial planning.
Objective
To develop a uniquely crafted residence that harmonizes local materials, biophilic elements, and architectural storytelling. The project reflects a deep connection with nature, symbolized by the tree wallpaper with five birds, representing the aspirations of the five family members.
